Dialogue program organized for BPL families at Janedghat

As part of the Direct Dialogue with BPL Families program, an awareness and dialogue program was organized at the village panchayat headquarters, Janedghat, in Junga tehsil. Approximately 250 BPL families from ten panchayats in the Junga area participated in the program. The program was chaired by Block Development Officer, Mashobra, Ankit Kotiya.
On this occasion, officials from various departments provided detailed information about the welfare schemes operated by their respective departments for BPL families. The officials urged eligible beneficiaries to take maximum advantage of government schemes.
Block Development Officer Ankit Kotiya, in his address, said that the government is running numerous schemes for the social and economic upliftment of families living below the poverty line, whose direct benefits are accruing to eligible families. He added that many families are unable to take advantage of various government schemes due to lack of information. The objective of such programs is to provide information about the schemes to these families and connect them with government facilities. He also provided detailed information about the various schemes being run for the welfare of BPL families.
Tehsil Welfare Officer, Shimla Rural, Satish Sharma, highlighted various welfare schemes run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. Representatives from the Agriculture Department, Karan Kumar, and the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) also briefed attendees on the schemes and benefits of their respective departments.
The programme was attended by Gram Panchayat Janedghat’s Pradhan Suchita Anand, Gram Panchayat Peeran’s Pradhan Nisha Devi, Gram Panchayat Balog’s Pradhan Manohar Kumar, Panchayat Secretary Rajiv Thakur along with secretaries of other Panchayats and dignitaries.
