First installment of Rs 30 lakh released for construction of PHC Trahai building

On the release of the first installment of Rs 30 lakh for the construction of a new building of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Trahai in Mashobra development block, former president of Kasumpti Congress Mandal and deputy head of Gram Panchayat Peeran, Attar Singh Thakur, along with ward members, met Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh Rana and expressed his gratitude.
Attar Singh Thakur said that the Public Works Department has prepared an estimate of about Rs 1.5 crore for the PHC building, for which the first installment has been released and the Minister has directed the department to complete all the necessary formalities including the tender soon, so that the construction work of the building can be started soon.
He said that as a result of the commitment of former Chief Minister, the late Virbhadra Singh, the then Health Minister, Kaul Singh Thakur, inaugurated this PHC in Trahai village in April 2016. However, for the past ten years, the health center has been operating in a private building, which lacks essential facilities, including accommodation for a doctor.
Attar Singh Thakur said that residential facility will also be available for the doctor in the new building, which will improve the quality of health services and the people of the area will be able to get better medical facilities.
On this occasion, he also requested Minister Anirudh Singh Rana to start Krasna Lab (Diagnostic Lab) in PHC Trahai, so that the local people do not have to go to Shimla or Solan for various tests and they can get the facility of testing near their home.
Ward members Archana Thakur, Anuradha Devi and Narayan Singh were also included in the delegation.
