Congress to Take NEET, Temple Donation Issues across Himachal

The political temperature in Himachal Pradesh is set to rise as the Congress intensifies its offensive against the BJP over allegations related to the NEET paper leak and the alleged misuse of donations collected for the Ram Temple.

State Congress President Vinay Kumar said that the BJP’s efforts to launch campaigns and form committees against the Congress would not influence the public, as people are now more aware of the issues affecting the country. He alleged that the BJP was attempting to divert attention from serious corruption-related matters by raising other political issues.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Vinay Kumar said the Congress would make the future of the country’s youth, the alleged NEET and CBSE paper leaks, and the alleged irregularities in Ram Temple donations its key issues in the state. According to him, these concerns have raised important questions that deserve answers from the BJP-led Central Government.

The Congress leader claimed that district-level protests organized by the party against the Centre over these issues received a positive response. Encouraged by this, the party is now moving into the second phase of its campaign, with leaders and workers set to take the message to every block across the state.

Vinay Kumar also targeted the BJP over its association with the Ram Temple movement, alleging that the party was now uncomfortable addressing questions being raised over the handling of donations. He stated that Congress leaders would continue to seek transparency and accountability on the matter.

Calling for greater disclosure, he said the Prime Minister should provide the public with detailed information regarding donations received during the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. He further demanded that a comprehensive audit report outlining the funds collected and expenditures incurred since the temple’s construction be made public.

The Congress leader emphasized that the Shri Ram Temple is a matter of faith and national heritage, and therefore transparency in its financial management is important. He argued that periodic public disclosure of accounts would strengthen public trust.

With the Congress preparing a statewide outreach programme and the BJP expected to counter the allegations, the issues of education, accountability and transparency are likely to remain at the center of political debate in Himachal Pradesh in the coming weeks.
