Auckland House School Students Shortlisted for Prestigious John Locke Institute 2026 Global Essay Prize

Auckland House School is delighted to announce that Pritha Doegar and Jiya Rampal Saini, students of Class XII, have been shortlisted for the John Locke Institute 2026 Global Essay Prize, one of the world’s most distinguished academic essay competitions for young scholars. Pritha has been shortlisted in politics, while Jiya has earned this distinction in economics.

The John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize attracts some of the brightest young minds from across the world, challenging participants to demonstrate originality, intellectual depth, and rigorous analytical thinking. The 2026 edition received an extraordinary 100,227 submissions from participants representing 183 countries. Following a highly competitive evaluation process, only the top 17.5% of entries were shortlisted, making this recognition a significant international academic achievement.

Being shortlisted for the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize reflects exceptional academic ability, independent thought, and excellence in written argumentation. It places Pritha and Jiya among a select group of young scholars whose work has been recognised on a global platform for its quality and intellectual merit.
