QR Code-based distribution facility activated to ensure food grains distribution
A spokesperson of the Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs informed here today that due to a technical issue affecting Aadhaar Authentication Services, the Aadhaar-based distribution of food grains through ePoS machines has been temporarily disrupted.
He said the matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities and necessary steps are being taken to restore the Aadhaar Authentication Services at the earliest. Meanwhile, to ensure that eligible beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience in receiving food grains, the department has activated the QR Code-based distribution facility available in the ePoS machines as an interim arrangement.
The department has requested all the eligible beneficiaries to continue collecting their entitled food grains from their designated Fair Price Shops as usual.
