Himachal has not received any special assistance from the central government : Vinay Kumar

State Congress President Vinay Kumar said that the figures on central assistance provided by Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda here today are misleading the people of the state. The state government has not received any special assistance from the central government to date. Whatever funds the central government has provided to the state government are merely its share of central government funding.
Vinay Kumar, reacting to the statement made by Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda in a press conference today, said that the people of the state will never forgive the Modi government for the blow it has dealt to the interests of the state by stopping the special financial assistance and RDG given to the state. He said that the state is not getting any special help from the Centre even to compensate for the losses incurred due to GST. The state has suffered a loss of about 25 thousand crores in the last few years due to the new GST slab. The state is facing huge financial losses on a monthly basis due to this new GST slab. The state is fulfilling all its responsibilities with its limited resources.
Vinay Kumar said that all the figures presented by Nadda are just on paper, whereas the Central Government has even cut the money for the central schemes running in the state.
Vinay Kumar stated that due to the state’s status as a special hill state, it used to receive funding for certain schemes in a 90:10 ratio, with the central government contributing 90 percent and the state contributing 10 percent, which has now been discontinued. The central government also holds a pending NPS pension of ₹10,000 crore for state employees, and the government is not releasing it.
Vinay Kumar said that the BJP leaders in the state will also have to bear the consequences of the injustice done to the state by the central Modi government. The BJP will face a defeat in next year’s assembly elections.
