IIM Sirmaur’s 10th Convocation: Celebrating a Decade of Excellence and Global Vision
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur marked a proud milestone on April 19, 2026, as it hosted its 10th Convocation at its permanent campus in Dhaula Kuan. The event was not just a ceremony—it was a celebration of ten years of academic excellence, global partnerships, and the Institute’s growing role in nation-building.
The occasion was graced by Shri Siddharth Sharma, CEO of Tata Trusts, as the Chief Guest, while Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman of the Board of Governors, presided over the ceremony. The day began with an academic procession, setting a tone of tradition and pride, followed by the formal declaration of the convocation open.
Director Dr. Prafulla Y. Agnihotri presented the annual report, highlighting the Institute’s achievements in academics, research, placements, and global collaborations. From flagship MBA programmes to specialized executive courses in digital transformation and smart manufacturing, IIM Sirmaur showcased its commitment to aligning education with India’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
This year was particularly special as the Institute graduated its first batches of several programmes, including PhD, Executive MBA, and the international PGPEX-LSM programme in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
Placements remained strong despite economic challenges, with over 250 offers from 220 companies, including MG Motors, Dabur, EY, Tech Mahindra, Taj Hotels, and Amul. The average CTC stood at ₹15.9 LPA, with the highest reaching ₹30 LPA.
The convocation also celebrated faculty achievements in research, publications, and patents, alongside significant investments in infrastructure and executive education. Students shone in academics, competitions, and extracurriculars, while alumni connections grew stronger through the “Sangrah” initiative.
Awards for academic excellence and all-round performance added to the spirit of pride, with Mr. Keshav Jaswal and Mr. Yash Munot receiving top honors.
In his address, Shri Ajay S. Shriram emphasized values-driven leadership, resilience, and lifelong learning, while Chief Guest Shri Siddharth Sharma inspired graduates to embrace humility, integrity, and social responsibility in their professional journeys.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of celebration and reflection, marking ten years of IIM Sirmaur’s journey and setting the stage for its next decade of shaping responsible leaders for India and the world.
