The last cultural evening of Rajgarh fair was dedicated to Himachali artists

At the final cultural evening of the district-level Rajgarh fair, audiences danced enthusiastically to Punjabi, Hindi, and Pahari plays. Thanks to the efforts of the fair committee, the final cultural evening was a super hit, even though no Bollywood stars were invited. With this, the three-day fair concluded.
In this cultural evening, two famous hill artists of Sirmaur, Ajju Tomar and Ajay Chauhan, Deepak Chauhan, Summi Prince, Madan Jhalta, Pravesh Nihalta kept the audience enthralled with their one-of-a-kind performances. As soon as Ajju Tomar and Ajay Chauhan took the stage, they showered them with fast-paced plays, to which the youth danced with great enthusiasm. Similarly, Deepak Chauhan’s “Tera Mera Pyar Adiye Bachpan Ra” and Madan Jhalta’s “Dhileye Bikhey Ho Kubja” received applause. Summi Prince made the youth dance by singing one of the best Punjabi songs. In addition, dozens of artists including Pravesh Nihalta, Ashu Tomar, Bimla Chauhan, Roshni Jasta, Ramesh Chand, Lekh Ram Paul, Rita Sharma, etc., thoroughly entertained the audience.

Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania attended the fair’s final cultural evening as chief guest, and former Assembly Speaker G.R. Musafir as special guest. The Assembly Speaker said that the district-level Baisakhi fair in Rajgarh is held in the name of the region’s revered deity, Shirgul Maharaj, and holds a distinct identity in the region from religious, social, and commercial perspectives.

Announcement to make the fair state level for the second time
He announced that this fair would be granted state-level status. It’s worth noting that last year, a cabinet minister of the state government had announced the granting of state-level status to this fair. He also released a souvenir published on the fair on this occasion. On this occasion, GR Musafir welcomed the chief guest and honored Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania by presenting him with a shawl, cap, and a memento.
Similarly, Chairman Baisakhi Mela Committee and SDM Rajgarh Raj Kumar Thakur honoured GR Musafir, Superintendent of Police Nisheeth Singh Negi, Additional District Magistrate LR Verma, Director State Cooperative Bank Bharat Bhushan Mohil by presenting them shawls and caps.

On the final day of the fair, a huge wrestling competition was organized, in which approximately 150 renowned wrestlers from North India displayed their skills. Mukesh, a Haryana wrestler, defeated Ashish Ho in the finals and won a prize of 51,000 rupees. Rajneesh, a small wrestler, defeated Shubham and took home a prize of 11,000 rupees.

DSP BC Negi, Tehsildar Rajgarh Rajendra Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Sushant Kumar, former chairperson of Nagar Panchayat Jyoti Sahni and Dinesh Arya, President of Youth Congress Pachha Vikram Thakur, Anuj Thakur, Vikram Jaildar, Pariksha Chauhan, Ramakrishna, Chandramohan Sharma and other fair committee members were present in the program.
