Rakesh Verma took over as the Principal of Peeran School

Rakesh Verma has joined the remote Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran, in the Kasumpti constituency. He was warmly welcomed by the entire staff upon his arrival. It’s worth noting that the position of principal had been vacant for nearly a year. During this period, the position was held by history lecturer Devinda Chauhan.
Principal Rakesh Verma, originally from Kothisare village in Sunni tehsil, began his career as a TGT (non-medical) in the Education Department in 1997. During his nearly 29 years of service, Rakesh Verma served at Government Senior Secondary Schools Mandholghat, Chalal Thachi, Middle Schools Chaaba, and Heevan. After being promoted to the position of Principal, Rakesh Verma served as Headmaster at Government High School Dhali, located within the Peeran Complex, since 2022.
Rakesh Verma said that a learning environment will be created to provide quality education in the school so that the children studying in this school can get good positions in the Himachal School Education Board examination.
It’s worth noting that in 2007, the Government High School Peeran was upgraded to a senior secondary school. In the past 19 years, no student from this school has achieved a place in the board’s merit list, nor has it achieved any national-level achievements in sports and cultural activities. It will be a major challenge for Rakesh Verma to establish a distinct identity for this school at the state level.
