Junga’s daughter Tanvi becomes an astronomy scientist in China

Dr. Tanvi Sharma, daughter of a farmer from Dwaru village, adjacent to Junga, has begun her career as an astronomy scientist in Xianjiang, neighboring China. It is a matter of pride that she is the first daughter from the Junga region to achieve this position.
Dr. Tanvi’s father, Virendra Sharma, is a progressive farmer, while her mother, Usha Sharma, is a successful homemaker. Dr. Tanvi’s achievement has brought joy to the entire Junga region, hoping that a daughter of Junga will bring glory to Himachal Pradesh and the nation as a scientist in China.
Dr. Tanvi’s father, Virendra, said that Tanvi has been a bright student since childhood, and that it was his dream to make his daughter an astronomy scientist, which Tanvi has fulfilled through hard work and persistent effort. Tanvi’s parents have received a stream of congratulatory calls.
Dr. Tanvi attended DAV Solan until her 12th grade. She then earned a B.Sc. from Gargi College, Delhi, and an M.Sc. from Hindu College, Delhi University. She completed her first-year project in astronomy at the Aryabhatta Observational Science Research Institute, Nainital, Uttarakhand, and earned her PhD in astronomy from the National Central University, Taiwan. Tanvi’s parents are proud of their daughter’s unique achievement.
