Congress Urges Vigilance: Treat Voter List Re-Inspection Like an Election

The All India Congress has asked its leaders and workers in Himachal Pradesh to treat the upcoming Special Intensive Re-inspection (SIR) of voter lists with the seriousness of an election. At a workshop held at the State Congress Headquarters, party leaders emphasized that every booth must be closely monitored to prevent voter exclusion or unauthorized inclusion.

Party representatives explained that training programs will soon be organized for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and workers across districts to ensure all eligible voters are properly included. They alleged that the BJP is deliberately removing names of non-supporters from voter lists, calling it a direct attack on democracy.

State Congress President Vinay Kumar added that once district and block executive committees are formed, workers will be assigned responsibilities to oversee the SIR process at the booth level. He expressed confidence that the party high command will soon approve these plans, ensuring that grassroots workers are fully engaged in safeguarding voter rights.

The workshop saw participation from senior leaders, ministers, MLAs, former MLAs, district presidents, and candidates from past elections, underlining the importance the party is placing on this exercise.
