Tasheel Thakur will showcase her talent in the national level volleyball competition

Tasheel Thakur, a talented athlete from Noha village in the remote Gram Panchayat of Balog in Junga tehsil, has been selected at the national level for the women’s volleyball national games in the senior under-21 age group. This prestigious competition will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from March 15 to 20. The competition is being organized by the Volleyball Federation of India.
Earlier, Tashil Thakur had demonstrated her talent with an outstanding performance at the state-level competition, which was held in Shahpur, Kangra district, in February. A week-long special training camp was organized in Kullu district for the selected state-level players, where Tashil honed her excellent athletic skills, discipline, and dedication.
The entire Junga region is filled with joy after Tashil Thakur was selected for the national level. Her father, Rajendra Thakur, is a progressive farmer, while her mother is a successful homemaker. Thakur said that Tashil has been interested in sports since childhood and has always participated enthusiastically in school-level sports competitions, bringing laurels to her school by participating in numerous district and state-level competitions. Currently, Tashil is studying at Government Degree College, Sanjauli.
