On Women’s Day, women danced to the Pahari Naati in Dhali Bagda

The women of the Matrishakti Gram Sangathan celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm in Dhali Bagda village of Mashobra block. The women mesmerized the audience by dancing to a variety of mountain songs. Kiran Sharma, former head of Peeran Panchayat, and Promila Thakur, head of the Mahila Mandal Dhali Bagda, attended the event as chief guests.
In her address, Kiran Sharma said that while it is a matter of pride that women are rapidly advancing in every field, there has been no reduction in the atrocities against women in society, which is a matter of concern. She also advised the youth to stay away from drugs. She also spoke in detail about women’s empowerment.
Anganwadi assistant Poonam Thakur said that as a result of welfare schemes implemented by the state and central governments for the socio-economic upliftment of women, countless women are becoming self-reliant and playing a positive role in society. Poonam Thakur boosted the morale of the women by reciting a poem about the contribution of women to society.
On this occasion, women presented a play about drug addiction. Through the play, the women conveyed the message about the ill effects of drug addiction. Additionally, messages about the education of girls and their all-round development were conveyed through songs and plays. Poonam Thakur and Anjali also graced the event with their beautiful performances.
Anjana Devi of the Matri Shakti Village Organization welcomed the chief guest. Other women from the organization included Sunita Thakur, Sarita, Asha, Kavita, Priya Anjali, Pushpa, Poonam, Ritika, and others.
