Successful organization of cultural festival Spandan 2026 in Degree College Chail Koti
The two-day inter-departmental cultural festival, Spandan 2026, was successfully organized at Government College, Chail Koti, courtesy of the Music Department. Under this program, solo singing, solo dance, duet dance, and group dance competitions were organized in the music category, and poster and rangoli competitions were organized in the fine arts category.
In the music singing category, Manoj Kumar and Chirag from the Music Department entertained everyone with their folk music and songs. In the solo dance competition, Anshika, Tanisha, Abitha, Meenakshi, Muskan, and Deeksha gave captivating performances. In the duet dance competition, Anjali and Rama, Smriti and Nitika, Muskan and Deeksha, Tanvi and Muskan, and Meenakshi and Aman performed. In the Naati competition, Rama and her entire group, along with Bhavna’s group, gave impressive performances. In the solo dance category, Abitha won first place, Meenakshi second, and Deeksha third. In the duet folk music category, Meenakshi and Aman won first place, Smriti and Nitika second, and Anjali and Rama third. In the duet semi-classical dance competition, Deeksha and Muskan won first place, and Tanvi and Muskan second. In the Himachali Naati competition, Rama and her team won first place, while Bhavna and her team won second.
Similarly, in the poster-making competition, Vaibhav Sharma won first place, Rama second, and Ankush third. In the rangoli competition, the team of Deepika and Ambika won first place, Simran and Smriti second, and Abitha and Meenakshi third.
College Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj attended the event as the chief guest and distributed prizes to all the winners and runners-up. She said that such events provide students with a platform to showcase their hidden talents and inspire them to move forward in life.

Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Suresh Kumar, and Prof. Devendra Singh were the judges for the program (in the music category). Dr. Subhash Kapta, Prof. Amrit Singh Mehta, Prof. Indra Prakash Negi, Dr. Sushil Kumar Mehta, and Dr. Bobija served as judges for the fine arts category. Staff from all academic and non-academic disciplines were present. Aditi successfully hosted the program and captivated the audience with her poetry.
