Himachal Congress has strongly supported today’s nationwide Bharat Bandh of trade unions, farmers and gardeners
On the guidelines of the All India Congress Committee, the State Congress has strongly supported today’s nationwide Bharat Bandh of trade unions, farmers and gardeners.
State Congress President Vinay Kumar accused the central Modi government of considering the trade deal with the United States to be against the country’s interests. This agreement will cause significant losses, particularly to farmers and orchardists.
In a press statement issued today, Vinay Kumar strongly criticized the BJP government at the Center, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has capitulated to US President Donald Trump. The BJP government at the Center is acting under US pressure, and the country’s reputation is being put at stake. It appears that the country is once again becoming a slave to a foreign regime.
Vinay Kumar said that Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is not being allowed to speak on issues related to national security in Parliament. He said that by undermining democracy, the BJP is weakening the Constitution of the country.
Vinay Kumar also described the central government’s decision to discontinue the state’s revenue deficit grant as completely undemocratic, saying that the BJP government at the center is discriminating against the state and violating its rights. He said that Congress will not bow to any pressure from the BJP. Congress will vigorously fight for the interests of the country and the state. Congress stands firmly with the people of the country and the state, including farmers and gardeners, and will not back down from any fight to protect their interests.
