MGNREGA struggle is for unemployed and village panchayats whose rights are being violated : Rajni
All India Congress Working Committee member, state affairs in-charge MP Rajni Patil has called upon the Congress district presidents and the district and block coordinators appointed for MGNREGA Bachao Sangram to accelerate the MGNREGA Bachao Abhiyan and include those workers in it who will now be affected by this new G Ram Ji Act.
Addressing a meeting at the state Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhavan, Rajni Patil said that by raising the voice of MGNREGA prominently and strengthening this campaign, the participation of all party leaders and officials has been ensured. She said that this struggle is for the unemployed and village panchayats whose rights are being violated, and Congress is fighting for their rights. She urged the officials to involve as many people as possible in this campaign. She said that she will also visit the districts soon. She asked to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the All India Congress Committee and the State Congress Committee regarding the Save MGNREGA campaign.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri stated that the changes to MNREGA will cause significant losses to the state. He stated that the new Act could potentially cause losses of approximately 800 to 900 crore rupees annually. He accused the BJP of attempting to destroy Gandhi’s name and ideology, stating that this would be impossible. He stated that Gandhi is renowned not only nationally but globally, and that his message of nonviolence is universally recognized.
Mukesh said that the Save MGNREGA campaign will have to be made a mass movement, for this everyone who has been given any responsibility by the party will have to fulfill it with full loyalty.
Patting the back of State Congress President Vinay Kumar, Mukesh Agnihotri said that the speed with which he has come forward to activate the party workers in the state is commendable. His participation in the MNREGA Bachao Abhiyan in many districts has enthused the party workers.
Addressing the meeting, State Congress President Vinay Kumar said that all party workers will have to come forward to take the MGNREGA Bachao Abhiyan to every home, every village and every Panchayat.
Vinay Kumar, while emphasizing on discipline among the party officials and workers, said that discipline is very important in any organization.
He asked all the party officials and the party officials appointed for the Save MGNREGA campaign to actively participate in this campaign and make people aware of the shortcomings of the new G Ram Ji instead of MGNREGA.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh urged all present in the meeting to promote MNREGA Bachao Abhiyan as a movement and said that people will have to tell the people about the shortcomings of this new Act, Shri Ram Ji. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Sunil Bittu, All India Congress Committee Secretary and Co-incharge of State Affairs Chetan Chauhan, Vidit Chaudhary,
MLA Anuradha Rana, Hardeep Singh Bawa, District Congress Committee President Chandra Shekhar, and district and block coordinators of the Save MGNREGA Campaign were present. Each of them reported on the campaign’s progress in their respective districts and blocks.
