CM Sukhu mourns demise of Manju Lohumi

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed profound grief over the passing of Manju Lohumi, wife of the state’s veteran  journalist,  Prakash Lohumi. She breathed her last at the age of 77 this morning at IGMC, Shimla, following a prolonged illness.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that the passing of Mrs. Lohumi was deeply saddening and a big loss to the entire Lohumi family.
The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and to provide strength to the bereaved family members to endure this irreparable loss.

Former National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has expressed deep condolences on the demise of Mrs. Manju Lohumi, wife of senior journalist Shri Prakash Lohumi. 77-year-old Mrs. Manju Lohumi passed away this morning. She had been unwell for a long time and was undergoing treatment at IGMC Shimla. Her death has sent shockwaves through the journalistic community and society. Her son, Bhanu Lohumi, Senior Correspondent (PTI), is with the family in this hour of grief.

In his heartfelt message, Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said that this is a deeply painful moment for Prakash ji and his family, and that the passing of Mrs. Manju Lohumi ji is an irreparable loss. He said, “I stand with the family in this hour of grief with all my heart. May God grant the departed soul a place in His feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this unbearable loss.”

On this sad occasion, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, MP Suresh Kashyap, MP Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, MP Kangana Ranaut, MP Indu Goswami, MP Harsh Mahajan, MP Dr. Sikandar Kumar, BJP Media Incharge Randhir Sharma, Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal and Media Coordinator Karan Nanda also paid tribute to the departed soul and expressed their deep condolences to the bereaved family.

BJP leaders prayed that God may grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to Prakash Lohumi ji and his family to bear this grief.
