Sunni-Luhri Road in a bad condition and people are suffering : Pyaar Singh Kanwar
BJP State Media Co-ordinator Pyar Singh Kanwar has launched a scathing attack on the state government and the Public Works Minister over the poor condition of the Sunni-Luhri Road in the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency. He said it is extremely unfortunate that the roads in the constituency from which the Public Works Minister himself is an MLA have been in complete disrepair for a month, forcing the public to endure hellish suffering.
Kanwar said that the road on the Sunni-Luhri Road, located very close to Shimla, has completely caved in. The situation is so bad that vehicles can’t even cross, people are unable to even walk, and accidents are a daily threat. A month ago, the government and the department claimed the road would be repaired within four to five days, but even after a month, no work is visible on the ground.
He sarcastically said that this is a living example of “darkness under the lamp.” A minister who cannot repair the roads in his own constituency has no moral right to boast about the development of the entire state.
Pyaar Singh Kanwar said that the Congress government is busy only with announcements, celebrations, and speeches, while the ground reality has become terrifying for the public. The people of Shimla Rural are asking: if the minister can’t even organize a proper program in his own area, or even restore a road, how will he handle the responsibility of the state?
They demanded that the Sunni-Luhri Road be immediately restored on a war footing, alternative arrangements be made, and the public be provided relief. If the government continues to turn a blind eye, the BJP will not hesitate to fight this anti-people negligence from the streets to the House.
