This institution is not just a hospital, but has become a center of revolutionary change in the health sector for the state. She said that AIIMS Bilaspur was a dream envisioned by BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, and today it has fully come true.
Sandipani Bhardwaj said that today AIIMS Bilaspur is being talked about throughout the country. It offers cutting-edge technology like hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for the treatment of complex abdominal cancers, so cancer patients no longer have to travel to Delhi, Chandigarh, or other metropolitan cities. This modern technology can destroy microscopic cancer cells left after surgery, reducing the risk of cancer recurrence and the side effects of chemotherapy on the entire body.
He added that the process of installing a diamond drill-based rotational atherectomy machine in the Cardiology Department has also been initiated, which will safely and effectively remove excess calcium deposits from the heart’s arteries. This technology will prove lifesaving for patients for whom open-heart surgery was previously considered the only option. Now, advanced treatment will be possible through a small incision.
The state spokesperson said that AIIMS Bilaspur is constantly being upgraded with modern equipment, super-specialty services, and expert doctors.
