Digital Financial Awareness Camp organized at ITI Junga
A one-day digital financial awareness camp was organized at ITI Junga, courtesy of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited branch, where people were informed about digital banking and cashless transactions.
Bank Manager Vishal Sharma explained to the ITI trainees and faculty about NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and other services, as well as the BHIM and Himpaisa apps. The program also included information on various schemes run by the State Cooperative Bank, the Central Government, the State Government, and NABARD, including small savings schemes, Basic Savings Deposit Account Scheme, recurring deposits, and term deposits, and PMJDY, loan schemes such as Kisan Credit Card, PMEGP, MMSY, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and Him Swarojgar Credit Card Scheme, and social security schemes such as PMJJY, PMSBY, and the Atal Pension Yojana. He also provided detailed information to the villagers about the formation, management, and loan management of self-help groups. He also provided information about bank-run schemes such as the Empowered Women Loan Scheme and Sapno Ka Sanchay.
He urged the trainees not to share their bank account PINs or OTPs with anyone. He said that cybercrime is increasing rapidly and miscreants are using various tactics to steal money from people’s bank accounts, so they should be cautious.
In this program, apart from ITI staff Harsh Gautam, Brij Lal Sharma, Jagjit, all the trainees including Mansi, Bhumika, Abhishek, Raman, Mohit, Sandeep, Gaurav Rohal and Pankaj and Surendra from the bank were present.
