Congress President Vinay Kumar Accuses BJP of “Revenge Politics” at Dadahu Gathering

At a public conference in Dadahu, Sirmaur district, State Congress President Vinay Kumar delivered a sharp critique of the BJP, accusing it of engaging in what he described as “politics driven by revenge and defamation.” The event featured placards bearing the slogan Satyamev Jayate, which Kumar said reflected the party’s commitment to truth.

Speaking to supporters, Kumar alleged that the BJP had turned into “a machine working with a spirit of retaliation.” He claimed that central investigative agencies were being used against those who questioned the ruling party, saying that the Enforcement Directorate and CBI were frequently deployed in response to criticism.

Kumar also referenced recent developments in the National Herald case, stating that the court’s stance had undermined the BJP’s allegations. According to him, the court’s observation that the ED’s charge sheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi was not admissible had “exposed” the BJP’s political strategy surrounding the issue.

He further asserted that attempts to pressure Rahul Gandhi had repeatedly failed and would continue to do so, adding that the Congress would neither “bow down” nor be intimidated.

Calling on the BJP to “stop misusing investigative agencies,” Kumar argued that suppressing the truth would only make it “rise more forcefully.” He concluded by saying that Satyamev Jayate—truth alone triumphs—remains the Congress party’s guiding principle.
