Shimla’s Iconic Ice Rink Opens for Winter Fun from Dec 4

Shimla is all set to welcome winter adventure lovers as ice skating sessions at the historic Ice Skating Rink kick off on December 4. After a successful trial run on Wednesday, where about 10 skaters tested the ice, the Shimla Ice Skating Club has given the green light for regular sessions.

Morning Glides to Start the Season

For now, only morning sessions will be held. Club members explained that evening sessions will begin once day temperatures drop further, ensuring the ice remains firm and smooth.

Carnival on the Horizon

Adding to the excitement, the club is planning a skating carnival in the last week of December, weather permitting. This promises to bring festive cheer and a chance for locals and tourists alike to enjoy Shimla’s unique winter tradition.
