The message of drug de-addiction was given in Rampur College through the art troupe
As part of the Save the Youth Campaign, being jointly run by the Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti and the Mandi Literacy and Public Development Committee, an art troupe at Degree College, Rampur, raised awareness among students about drug addiction on Wednesday. Artists from the troupe delivered the message of drug addiction through street plays and songs.
Satyawan Pundir, State Secretary of the Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti, stated that drug addiction has spread so deeply in society that it is ruining the lives of young people. To this end, the committee has launched the “Save Youth” campaign to raise awareness among youth about the ill effects of drug addiction.
In this campaign, General Secretary of Literacy and Public Development Committee Bhim Singh, former Secretary of Shimla District SS Chandel, Dr. RK Jishtu, Founder Member and Sundar Jishtu, Panchayat Block Coordinator Jagdish, Jogendra, Manoj, Shivram along with Art Troupe Incharge Gajendra Sharma and artists Maan Thakur, Ritwik Thakur, Maheshwar Thakur, Mani Ram, Asha Ram, Shiv Ram, Chet Ram, Anurag, Heena, Diya and Bhishma etc. along with college staff and hundreds of students participated.
On this occasion, college in-charge Dr. Satpal, Principal of Economics, Prof. Anil Verma, Dr. Ajendra Negi, Prof. Rajesh, Prof. Panama Negi and other teachers were present.
