Meritorious students honored at Junga School’s annual function
Government Model Senior Secondary School, Junga, celebrated its annual prize distribution ceremony with great enthusiasm. Students and teachers were eager and excited to celebrate the day from the very morning. Aryan Sood was awarded the title of “Student of the Year.” Social worker Sonia Singh Mann attended the ceremony as the chief guest and inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
On this occasion, the children mesmerized the audience by presenting Pahari Naati, Punjabi Gidda, Kariyala, solo singing, etc. To create a drug-free society, eighth-grade student Mehak and her friends presented a short play, conveying the message through beautiful acting, and received accolades.
Extending her best wishes for the annual function, Sonia Singh Mann said in her address that the annual function is a mirror of any institution’s achievements, for which meritorious students, in particular, eagerly await, while also inspiring others to move forward. She added that students’ goal should be to pursue education while maintaining discipline.
He honoured the meritorious students who secured first, second and third division in various classes and the players who performed excellently in sports by presenting them medals and mementos.
Earlier, Principal Mahesh Sharma welcomed the chief guest, presented the school’s annual report, and elaborated on the school’s various activities and achievements. School teacher Tirthanand Shastri and teacher Varij Kaushal moderated the session.
On this occasion, the students organized an exhibition showcasing their achievements throughout the year, which was inspected by the chief guest. Among the four houses, Tagore House was awarded a trophy for being the top performer in the inter-house competitions throughout the year.
Local Panchayat head Bansilal Kashyap and other dignitaries were present at the event. Vice Principal Gopi Chand Sharma thanked those who attended.
