BJP is violating the norms of democracy in the country : Sukhu
State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh has said that the Congress party is standing united in the state and the signature campaign launched in the state against the BJP’s weakening of democracy and the Constitution has been very successful. She said that the All India Congress Committee had given the State Congress the target of one lakh signature campaign under the Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod Abhiyan and surpassing that target, one lakh 43 thousand signatures have been sent to the AICC. Now the central high command will give the signatures of this campaign of the Congress, which is being run across the country, to the President of the country. She said that the State Congress has actively participated in Rahul Gandhi’s Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod Abhiyan and for this she also expresses her gratitude to the Congress leaders, workers and the people of the state.
Today at the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh, All India Congress Committee spokesperson, Theog MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore flagged off a special vehicle carrying the signature documents from Rajiv Bhawan to AICC New Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the BJP is violating the norms of democracy in the country. Congress is committed to protecting the Constitution and democracy.
Sukhu said that the BJP has attempted to influence elections in the country. The evidence of vote theft presented by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is very solid and should be investigated immediately. He said that the signature campaign against the BJP in the state has been very successful.
Sukhu hit back at the BJP, saying that the BJP is divided into several factions in the state, each fighting for its own survival. He said the BJP is insensitive to the state’s interests. Referring to the BJP’s statement about the five Pandavas, he said that the Pandavas fought for their rights and justice, while BJP leaders in the state are fighting for their own survival.
Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that Rahul Gandhi has presented the facts of vote theft to the nation. The Election Commission should conduct an impartial investigation. He said that the BJP is busy defending the Election Commission.
Vikramaditya Singh said that Rahul Gandhi is not just a leader of the Congress party; he is also the Leader of the Opposition and holds a position of immense responsibility in the country, and therefore, nothing he says can be ignored. The Election Commission should investigate the facts about the Haryana Assembly elections that Rahul Gandhi has presented to the nation with complete impartiality.
All India Congress Committee spokesperson and MLA from Theog, Kuldeep Singh Rathore, said that vote-stealing in the country is a very serious crime. He said that Rahul Gandhi has presented the nation with complete facts and evidence of vote-stealing in the Haryana Assembly elections. The Election Commission is not responding impartially to this matter. This clearly shows that the Election Commission is working under pressure from the BJP. He said that the Commission should take immediate action to save its declining credibility.
