Arrears amount will reach the accounts of pensioners before Diwali: Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj

The Himachal Pradesh Pensioners Joint Front has welcomed Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s announcement of a three percent dearness allowance (DA) increase for pensioners. In a press statement, the Front’s state spokesperson, Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj, said this decision brings great relief and joy to millions of pensioners in the state ahead of Diwali. Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj said that pensioners had long been demanding an increase in dearness allowance, which the government has now accepted. He said that this three percent dearness allowance will be included in the October pension, providing financial support to senior citizens and retired employees. He further stated that the arrears for the period from April to September 2025 have also been deposited into pensioners’ bank accounts before Diwali, allowing pensioners to celebrate Diwali with their families during the festive season.

The Front spokesperson thanked the Chief Minister and the State Government and said that this decision reflects the government’s sensitivity and respect towards the elderly pensioners.

Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj said that today, in his press conference, the Chief Minister, by mentioning the name of Joint Front President Atma Ram Sharma, proved that the real Pensioners’ United Front belongs to him. We welcome this government decision and hope that the government will maintain this sensitive approach to the problems of pensioners in the future.
