AHSB Inspires Young Minds Through Sports and Strategic Games
Auckland House School for Boys celebrated its Junior Section Sports Day with great enthusiasm on October 18, 2025. The event was graced by Ms. Meenu Chauhan, Ward Councillor, Bharari, as the Chief Guest.
The day began with a lively P.T. Display by Forms I and II, followed by exciting events such as Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Yoga, Scooty Rush Rally, Pom-Pom Powerpuff, and Mini Mat Marathon. The students’ energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship kept the audience engaged throughout the day.
Principal Mr. Reuben T. John welcomed the Chief Guest and highlighted how sports instill discipline, resilience, and teamwork in young learners. Chief Guest Ms. Meenu Chauhan praised the school for fostering holistic education and urged students to excel in academics and extracurricular activities alike.
At AHSB, this philosophy comes to life as student development goes beyond physical fitness to embrace intellectual growth. Chess, a game that hones strategic thinking and mental agility, is celebrated alongside sports. Demonstrating this, students shone at the 3rd National School Teams Chess Championship 2025, organized by the Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association. Samarth Gupta clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-18 category, while Team B (Under-18) won the Second Board Prize at the state level and secured 7th position nationally, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence of both mind and body.
The celebration concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, honoring young achievers for their outstanding performances.
