Himachal Women’s Congress in-charge Surabhi Verma has called for maximum women enrolment

State Women’s Congress in-charge Surabhi Verma has called for maximum women to enroll in the Women’s Congress membership campaign in the state. She also stressed the need to expand the Women’s Congress at the district and block levels, saying that the membership campaign’s goal must be met at all costs.
Addressing a meeting of the State Women’s Congress at Rajiv Bhawan, the state Congress headquarters, today, Surabhi Verma said that she has been given the important responsibility as in-charge of the State Women’s Congress, and this is her first visit. She said that she will soon undertake a statewide tour and work towards strengthening the Women’s Congress in all districts and blocks. Praising the work of the Women’s Congress in the state, she said that their aim is to empower women.
Surabhi Verma also asked all the members of the State Women Congress to work for the strengthening of the Congress Party and to take the welfare schemes and decisions of the State Congress Government to the common women and make them aware of the party’s policies.
State Women’s Congress President Zainab Chandel welcomed Surabhi Verma, stating that she successfully completes any program assigned to her by the All India Women’s Congress. She noted that the state’s geographical conditions are difficult and different from other states. Despite this, all Women’s Congress officials actively participate in all party programs in their respective areas.
In the meeting, Zainab Chandel called upon all the Mahila Congress office bearers to come forward in solidarity against any atrocity or rape against women, strengthen their voice and not step back from fighting for justice against any injustice.
