A Father’s Pride: CM Sukhu Celebrates Daughter’s Academic Achievement in London

In a proud moment for the Sukhu family, Kanoon Sukhu, the daughter of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, has earned a scholarship to pursue a Master’s in Law at the prestigious London School of Commerce.

The Chief Minister, along with his wife, Kamlesh Thakur, has traveled to London to personally celebrate this significant milestone in their daughter’s life. The family departed from Delhi on Thursday.

This trip is a purely personal visit for the Chief Minister to support his daughter as she begins her academic journey at one of the world’s top institutions. While he is away, he has ensured he will remain accessible by phone to government officials and his ministers to address any urgent matters.

Kanoon’s acceptance is a testament to her hard work and dedication. Reports indicate she underwent a rigorous selection process, taking various exams and securing offers from several schools before choosing the London School of Commerce.

Before leaving the country, Chief Minister Sukhu ensured all state affairs were in order. His schedule in Delhi included a meeting with Congress central leaders, a review meeting with senior Himachal Pradesh officials, and consultations with senior lawyers regarding ongoing state cases in the Supreme Court. He also directed officials to schedule crucial meetings with central ministers for October.

The Chief Minister is expected to return to India on September 27th.
