Three animals were buried alive after a cowshed in Kotla Bagh was buried due to heavy landslide
Last night, due to heavy rains, a heavy landslide occurred in Kotla Bagh village of Junga tehsil, due to which a tragic incident occurred when a cowshed was buried. In this incident, two Jersey cows and a calf were buried alive in Ramkrishna’s cowshed. While a five-day-old calf survived. This has been confirmed by Tehsildar Junga Narayan Singh Verma. He said that due to heavy landslide, apart from the cowshed, cracks have also appeared behind Ramkrishna’s house, due to which Ramkrishna’s house has been evacuated and his six-member family has taken shelter in his brother’s house. Tarpaulin and immediate relief of ten thousand rupees has been provided to the affected family on the spot.
Mohan Lal Sharma, a member of this family, said that on Saturday night at around 8 o’clock, a massive landslide from the back hill completely damaged their cowshed in which two Jersey cows and a calf died after being buried under it. He said that the landslide is also threatening their house due to which his family has now taken shelter in his brother’s house. The whole family is shocked by this accident.
The Tehsildar said that the non-residential house of widow Krishna in Jagas Dwana of Balog Panchayat has been completely damaged due to landslide. Apart from this, the house and cowshed of Sunno Devi wife Nakuram in Dhali Bagda of Peeran Panchayat are in danger due to heavy rain. Their house is filled with rain water due to which this family has taken shelter in another house in the village. Patwari Peeran Shubham Sharma visited the spot and inspected the house and the affected family has been provided tarpaulin on the spot.
Tehsildar Narayan Verma said that the Patwaris of the concerned circle have been instructed to assess the damage and submit a report soon. He has urged people to be cautious during heavy rains and inform the administration immediately in case of any disaster.
