Hariom Gaushala Yashwantnagar has set a unique example in the state in serving and protecting the cows, where the spirit of service and dedication towards the cows is seen in its true form. More than one hundred destitute animals have found shelter in this Gaushala. Let us tell you that all the facilities have been made available for the cattle in this Gaushala being run in the private sector, which is hardly available in any Gaushala in the state. People come to the Gaushala and organize Gau-Party on their or their children’s birthdays. Donations are also given to the Gaushala as per their capacity for the peace of the planets. Let us tell you that two Gaushalas are being run by this committee, in which the second Gaushala is in Kotla Barog.
Hariom Gaushala’s Pradhan Kapil Thakur told that in the initial stage, fodder etc. for animals is provided in this Gaushala with the help of generous people, on which about one lakh rupees is spent every month, but now the government is giving a subsidy of 16 rupees per cow per day. He told that for this Gaushala, three and a half bigha land has been donated by Amar Singh Thakur of Neri Jagyala, on which the management committee of Hariom Gaushala has prepared a shed of the Gaushala, which has the capacity to keep one hundred cows. All necessary arrangements have been made for the cows for winters.
Kapil Thakur informed that the animals in the Gaushala are provided with mineral-rich food according to the season. Apart from this, the help of the Animal Husbandry Department is taken to take care of the health of the animals. Five employees have been deployed to serve the cows in the Gaushala, who are given a good salary by the committee. He informed that medicinal cow dung cakes are also prepared in the Gaushala, which are being prepared by mixing Lohan, Guggal, Yellow Mustard, Wheat, Barley, Black Pepper, Black Sesame Seeds, White Sesame Seeds, Rice, Pine Sawdust, Paja, Cardamom, Cloves, Cow Urine, which is in great demand among the people. These cow dung cakes are given free of cost to the people who donate to the Gaushala. Apart from working as a sanitizer, medicinal cow dung cakes are considered to be very beneficial for health and to remove Vaastu Dosh, negative energy and stress in the house. He informed that as a result of the excellent care of the cows in this Gaushala, many cows have started giving milk at present. Due to which the employees posted in this Gaushala are able to make a living.
