Governor & CM & Deputy CM felicitate people on occasion of Raksha Bandhan
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have extended their felicitations to the people of the State.
The Governor in his message said the festival not only plays a pivotal role in strengthening the bond of love but also in creating a cordial atmosphere in the society.
The Chief Minister said that the ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was a festival that reflects the bond of love and trust between the brother and the sister since time immemorial. He said that Raksha Bandhan was an opportunity to preserve our rich cultural heritage and moral values. Apart from this, the festival strengthens our determination to protect the rights of the women to empower them socially and economically.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that the festival symbolizes the bond of love, affection and trust between brothers and sisters and reflects the unique traditions of Indian culture. He said that the festival would further strengthen the spirit of love and brotherhood in society
