The campus of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, came alive with energy and anticipation as it hosted Deekshaarambh 2025, the official orientation programme for the incoming batches of B.A.LL.B./B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 2025–2030 and LL.M. 2025–2026.

Led by Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of HPNLU, the event was a warm and inspiring welcome to the university’s newest students. The occasion was graced by eminent guests including Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma (Judge, High Court of Himachal Pradesh), Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan (Vice-Chancellor, HNLU Raipur), and Advocate Akshay Pathak (Principal Associate, Khaitan & Co.), each of whom shared powerful insights drawn from their journeys in the legal world.

Adding to the day’s significance was the inauguration of the Faculty Common Room, envisioned as a collaborative space to foster academic dialogue and innovation.

In her address, Prof. Saxena emphasized the importance of a holistic legal education rooted in social responsibility and constitutional values. Advocate Pathak encouraged students to face the evolving legal landscape with integrity and adaptability, while Prof. Vivekanandan offered five guiding principles for success: attention to detail, analytical thinking, clear communication, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.

Presiding over the event, Justice Sandeep Sharma urged students to approach their legal education with dedication, humility, and a deep commitment to justice.

The Deekshaarambh 2025 programme not only marked the beginning of an academic journey but also reaffirmed HPNLU’s mission to shape socially conscious, ethically grounded, and future-ready legal professionals.
