Village organization Janedghat and SHG Junga got the first prize

The annual conference of the general assembly of the Kyenthal Cluster Union development block Mashobra was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Janedghat on Friday. Women from 17 village organizations of nine panchayats under Kyenthal Cluster Union participated in the program. On this occasion, Jai Mata Durga Gram Sangathan Janedghat and Chirag Self Help Group Junga were awarded for their excellent work and first place. The general assembly was presided over by Block Development Officer Mashobra Ankit Kotia.
In his address, he said that through self-help groups in the state, women have become socially and economically empowered through self-employment, which is a matter of pride. He advised the women to prepare products based on locally available raw materials, which are in great demand in the open market. He said that the government is giving special emphasis on women empowerment and to make women economically empowered, technical training and assistance is also provided to start their own business.
He told that in this general meeting, details of annual income and expenditure of Keonthal Cluster Sangh, success stories of self-help groups, training and coaching were discussed. Women made the function attractive by performing colourful cultural programmes. On this occasion, women of the group presented a short play and gave information about NRLM and other schemes. Representative of Gramin Bank Junga gave information to women about various schemes of the bank.
Pradhan Balog Panchayat Om Prakash Sharma, local Pradhan Swaroop Thakur, Deputy Pradhan Chatar Singh, Technical Assistant Jai Kishan Shandil along with women from various self-help groups participated in the program.
