Vaccination done in all the schools of Junga area : Dr. Manoj

Children were vaccinated in Government Primary Schools Nagri and Paindli and Middle School Paindli, courtesy of Health and Family Welfare Department, Junga. Giving information on Thursday, Medical Officer of Civil Hospital, Junga, Dr. Manoj Verma said that DPT and TD booster doses were given to children in a phased manner in all schools under Junga Tehsil so that children can be protected from various diseases.
He told that during the vaccination session, awareness programs were also organized in educational institutions. In which women and adolescent girls were made aware about the misconceptions prevalent in rural areas about menstruation and personal hygiene. Apart from this, information was given about nutrition, balanced diet, prevention and treatment of various waterborne diseases spreading during the rainy season. Dr. Manoj told that children were made aware about the ill effects of various types of drugs and especially tobacco consumption on the human body. He also informed the children in all educational institutions about the symptoms and prevention of infectious diseases.
In the vaccination program team, Medical Officer Dr. Priyanka, CHO Poonam, NDK Counselor Praveen, besides Asha workers Anjana Sen and Anju provided their services.
