Himachal govt should reconsider the date of HAS and UGC-NET examination: Bragta
The proposed HAS preliminary exam and UGC-NET exam scheduled on the same day on 29 June 2025 in Himachal Pradesh has put the future of thousands of youth in jeopardy.
This situation is creating an atmosphere of deep disappointment, mental stress and confusion among the students of the state.
It is necessary to ask the government and HPPSC that:
Weren’t they aware that a large number of students were eligible for both the exams?
Can the hard work and future of students be played with in the name of administrative facilities?
Was this decision taken by ignoring the interests of the students?
We demand that:
1. The state government and HPPSC should take cognizance of this date clash.
2. The date of either HAS or UGC-NET exam should be rescheduled.
3. Sensitive and practical decisions should be taken giving priority to the mental health and career of the students.
Today’s youth will lead tomorrow. It is the government’s duty to give them direction, not confuse them.
We urge the state government to immediately review this decision and not play with the future of thousands of promising students.
