Shimla Mayor Surendra Chauhan remembered Baba Saheb Ambedkar

Remembering the architect of the Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, party leaders paid homage to his photograph at the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today.

Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation Surendra Chauhan said during this time that this country will always be indebted to Baba Saheb. He said that the rights and duties of every citizen of the country have been enshrined in the constitution in an equal manner, without any caste or religion. He said that along with protecting the constitution, everyone will have to come forward for the unity and integrity of the country, this will be our true tribute to Baba Saheb.

Former state Congress general secretary Devendra Bushhari threw light on Baba Saheb’s life and mentioned his remarkable work in the country’s constitution. He said that everyone should follow the path shown by Baba Saheb.

At the state Congress headquarters, state women Congress president Zainab Chandel, along with former state Congress committee officials Vineet Gautam, Anand Kaushal, SK Sehgal, Baldev Thakur, councilor Raj Kumar, Virendra Jaswal, Baldev Singh Thakur, Bhupendra Verma, SS Jogta, Vrinda Singh, Lokeshwari Devi, Krishna Kumari, Uma Mudriyal, Veena Vij, Ghanshyam Chand, Prakash Kanyal, Rohit Kashyap, Bhanu Pratap, Jaspal Thakur, Naresh Kumar, Devendra Ratna and many other party workers also paid their tributes.
