National Science Day was celebrated in Chiyog School

Many programs were organized on the occasion of National Science Day in Government Excellent Senior Secondary School Chiyog, in which quiz competition, science model, poster making and painting competitions were organized. The program was presided over by Principal Sandeep Sharma. He also observed the exhibition put up by the children and gave prizes to the winning and runner-up students.
On this occasion, he told that the theme of this day has been kept by the Government of India as empowering Indian youth for global leadership in science and innovation for a developed India. He told that the purpose of this day is to increase the interest of children towards science.
He told that every year on 28th February, National Science Day is celebrated in the country as a tribute to the great scientist Sir CV Raman. On this day, Sir CV Raman had announced the Raman Effect. For this important discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1930. The Raman Effect gave Indian science a distinct identity on the global stage.
Before this, Eco Club in-charge Savinta Chauhan welcomed the chief guest and gave various information related to science to the students. On this occasion, all the professors of Science Faculty and all the teachers and staff of the school were present.
