Seven-day NSS camp inaugurated in Dadgi School

A seven-day special camp was organized under the National Service Scheme at Government Senior Secondary School, Dadgi on Sunday. The program was presided over by the Principal of the local school, Rajendra Verma. Famous social worker Riya Rai and special guest Reena Kumari attended the program as chief guest. The chief guest inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp and hoisting the flag. The Principal, NSS in-charge Dharm Prakash Verma and Archana Sharma honored the chief guest by presenting him a memento, shawl and cap. The volunteers welcomed the guests seated on the stage by making them wear badges and caps.
Program Officer Dharm Prakash Verma said that 40 volunteers are participating in this special camp. In this seven-day special camp, Shavali and Mandari villages of the local panchayat have been adopted. Going there, the volunteers will not only spread awareness about the cleanliness campaign but will also draw people’s attention towards social concerns. People will be made aware about social evils like women empowerment, women education, child marriage, adult education, female foeticide, drug eradication. On this occasion, the volunteers also presented welcome song, Vande Mataram, patriotic songs, Himachali folk dance and six songs. The chief guest wished the volunteers a bright future and said that national interest is paramount. On this occasion, all the teachers and non-teaching staff of the school were present.
