Restore SPG security for Rahul Gandhi and family: Kuldeep Singh Rathore
All India Congress Committee spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Rathore, MLA from Theog, while expressing concern over the separatist rhetoric of BJP on senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, has demanded from the Center to restore SPG security of Rahul Gandhi and his family Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi. He has said that in 2019, his security was removed without any reason and out of revenge.
Rathore has strongly criticized former Congress leader Ravneet Singh Bittu who has now joined the BJP and said that the way he is using abusive language against Rahul Gandhi and his family today, it is clear that there is a deal between him and the BJP. He said that even after Bittu lost his election, the BJP has included him in its Union Cabinet. He said that when Bittu was in the Congress, he used to curse the BJP a lot, but today when he has joined the BJP, he is cursing the Congress and the Gandhi family.
Today, in a press conference here, Kuldeep Singh Rathore launched a scathing verbal attack on Bittu and said that the family of the person whom he is calling a terrorist has suffered the most from terrorism. He has lost his grandmother Indira Gandhi and father Rahul Gandhi. He asked him to tell what is his stand on BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s statement on the farmers’ movement in which she has called the farmers terrorists and rapists. He said that Bittu should clarify whether he is with the farmers or Kangana. He said that Bittu can never be anyone’s well-wisher. He has insulted not only Rahul Gandhi but also his late grandfather Beant Singh, who was a senior Congress leader and the then Chief Minister of Punjab.
Kuldeep Singh Rathore has criticized Uttar Pradesh Minister Raghuraj Singh, Madhya Pradesh Minister Sanjay Gaikwad and other BJP leaders for their derogatory remarks against Rahul Gandhi and has demanded the government to take strict legal action against them for their separatist remarks. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should also apologize to the country for the remarks made by these BJP leaders. He said that the violent remarks against the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi are a matter of great concern and therefore, SPG security of him and his family, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should be restored immediately.
Rathore has also urged the Honorable President of the country that the Central Government should take strict action against the guilty leaders by taking strict cognizance of the insulting and violent statements of BJP leaders against the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
