Profile of Congress Candidate from Dehra Smt. Kamlesh Thakur
Smt. Kamlesh Thakur has been nominated by the Congress Party as their candidate for the by-election in the Dehra Assembly Constituency of Kangra district. Born on April 2, 1970, in the village of Nalsooha, Dehra subdivision, Kangra district, she has an impressive educational background with an MA in Political Science from Government College Chandigarh and a PGDCA Diploma. Her early education includes completing her 10th grade at Government High School Nalsooha and her 12th grade at Government Senior Secondary School Pragpur of Dehra sub division.
Smt. Kamlesh Thakur married Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on June 11, 1998. She has a deep-seated interest in social service, particularly in the area of women empowerment. Over the past twenty years, she has been an active member of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, maintaining strong ties with party workers.
Politically, she has been actively engaged in the Naidun Assembly Constituency, collaborating with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to address and resolve local issues.
