After rebuke from the Center, notification giving ST status to Hati community was hastily issued: Chetan Bragta

State spokesperson Chetan Bragta said that despite the law being passed by the President giving ST status to the Hati community, keeping it pending for five months shows the negative thinking of the state Congress government towards the Hati community.

He said that when the state government was reprimanded by the Central Government in this matter, the Congress government of the state hurriedly issued a notification.

Chetan Bragta congratulated everyone on the issuance of notification granting ST status to the Hati community, the more than six decade long fight reached a decisive stage today and the Hati community got their right. By declaring Hati community as tribal, 2.5 lakh people of this area will be benefited.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister Anurag Thakur had special contributions in getting the Hati community their rights.

Chetan Bragta said that Congress made every possible effort to keep the Hati community away from their rights. The complete explanation for which this bill was stalled was present in the draft made during the time of Jairam government. Due to this delay of the government, the future of thousands of youth was played with.

Chetan Bragta said that the rights which Jaunsar Babar got 56 years ago due to political influence, have been given to the Hati community today because of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President GP Nadda, former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
