Pratibha Singh talks to NHPC officials to speed up the construction of 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project

State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh will talk to NHPC officials and the state government to speed up the construction of the 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project in the Luz Dharwas area on the Chandrabhaga river under the Mandi parliamentary constituency. She has said that with the construction of this project, on the one hand, people will get relief from the electricity problem in Pangi Valley, on the other hand, the water of Chandrabhaga River will also be fully exploited.

Pratibha Singh has said that the 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project to be built in the Luz Dharwas area will prove to be very useful in the field of power generation in the state. On one hand, with the construction of this project, the entire Pangi Valley will get rid of the electricity problem, on the other hand, the economy of the state will also be strengthened. He said that this project to be built in Pangi Valley will give impetus to development in this area and will provide many employment opportunities to the youth. Expressing concern over the slow pace of construction of this project, she has asked NHPC to speed up the construction work.

Pratibha Singh has also asked the state government to simplify the policy-making and agreements for hydropower projects to be built in the state so that hydropower production in the state can be fully exploited. She has urged the state government to quickly resolve all the pending cases of hydropower projects.
