Horticulture Minister couldn’t able to provide remunerative prices of apple : Cong

Himachal Pradesh Congress committee lashed out Horticulture Minister Mr Mahender Singh Thakur for remaining fail to provide reumerative prices to apple produces in the current season.

Addressing a press conference here today HPCC Chief Kuldeep Singh Rathore said that apple growers are not getting reumerative prices of apple crops as incumbent government remained fail to provide better marketing facilities and enough number of traders and Commission agent in the state apple market yards.
The government is not concerned about the interest of apple growers and didn’t doing anything to increase the income of farmers.
“Minister hardly bother or concerneg about the crashing down of apple market in the peak season as he himself busy making money for him.” Mr Rathore said.
He said that Minister who hardly bother about issues of Farmers should be removed from the his berth.
A1 grade Apple cartoon of 24 kg is being sold at the price of Rs 1000-1400 in the market however the price is not compatible to the cost of production of the cash crop.
About three lakh house hold and 45 per cent of state population rely upon the fruit economy as people of state registered  total tournover of Rs 3500 to Rs 4000 Cr from the apple and fruit production per annum.
